There were calculated compositions of the known (Sr,Ba)CO3 and (Pb,Ba)CO3 orthorhombic carbonates, which were compared with their chemical compositions. Also, there were compared calculated and actual chemical compositions which were obtained through equations from the literature datas.
From the results of investigations for the systems SrCO3-BaCO3 and PbCO3-BaCO3 it was established that there is linearity of crystallographic parameters by composition.
In the system SrCO3-BaCO3 obtained values for SrCO3 are very similar for d130, d202, d222, d241, d151 and V0, something poorer for d220, d221, d041, d132, a0 and c0, while the deviation is something more noticable for b0 and Dx.
In the system PbCO3-BaCO3 obtained values for PbCO3 are very similar for d220, d132, d241 and c0, something poorer for d130, d221, d202, d222, d151 and V0, while the deviation is something more noticable for d041, a0, b0 and Dx.
With comparision of the results for the systems CaCO3-SrCO3, SrCO3-BaCO3 and ...PbCO3-BaCO3 it was established that the best results were obtained through crystallographical parameters d130, d202, d132, d222, d241, d151 and V0, something poorer through d220, d221 and d041, while poor results were obtained through Dx.
By dependence of the system which was investigated, from the unit cell dimensions (a0, b0 and c0) there were obtained different results, and because of that it should be use their average values.
Also, best is to use the average values of the results obtained from all of the calculations.
