dc.description.abstract | Cavitation erosion of mullite, cordierite and zircon silicate was investigated. Cavitation erosion test was applied using standard the ultrasonic vibratory cavitation set up with stationary sample. weight loss as well as image analysis measurements were used for comparison of the different samples to the effects of cavitation. In this paper image analysis was implemented for monitoring degradation level during testing, as well as number of formed pits during the tests, and their characteristics (average diameter and area). Thermal imaging analysis was focused on determination on temperature line profile histogram of temperature distribution at the end of experiment. Obtained results will be discussed in order to obtain optimal procedure to be followed for degradation determination caused by cavitation erosion. | sr |
