This text is a review of the book called The Art and Observing Art, by author Zoja Bojic. This book stems from a lectures series conducted at COFA Online, the University of New
South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and includes a discussion on several topics of
importance when experiencing, observing and contemplating artworks. Author observed the themes: A subjective and first person account;
Perceptions and expectations: understanding the visual language;
Artists’ perspectives; Test of time; Is this art? ; This is art because I say so; The art of observing art: the tradition of the fine arts and applied arts hierarchy.
