Wulfenite (PbMoO4) is a rather rare mineral, and according to that, every new occurrence deserves considerable attention. This mineral was discovered at the Stari Trg-Trepča ore deposit in the paragenesis with galena, sphalerite, pyrite, calcite and rhodochrosite. It appears together with calcite at the calcite crust formed over pyrite zone, as honey-yellow crystals of pyramidal shapes, with size of 5-25 mm. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern, as well as calculated crystallographic parameters in the adequate tetragonal I41/a space group of: a = 5,428(2) Å; c = 12,111(4) Å; and V = 356,8(2) Å3; are in very good agreement with the literature data. Wulfenite most probably originated as secondary mineral from cerussite at the oxidation zone.sr
