The aim of this study is to investigate in vitro the influence of apple pectin on selected bacteria of humanmilk microbiome and production of gases during its fermentation. Selected lactobacilli and bifidobacteria isolated from human milk were anaerobically incubated in media with 0.5 % pectin. The tested bacteria were enumerated before and after 72 h of incubation. During fermentation biochemical parameters were monitored and production of gases was detected by MicroOxymax respirometer.
