Abstract
Preliminary investigations of Hypericum perforatum have shown that one of the most important activities of the plant is its antibacterial activity. The most active component of the acetonic extract has been isolated through TLC with a Rf value 0.7 whose 1 H NMR-spectrum is similar to that of hyperforin.
