Abstract
Titanium tetrachloride promoted reaction of trimethylsilyl enol ethers with ethylene oxide affords homoaldol type products in moderate/good yields. The reaction is believed to proceed via the titanium enolates. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
