Electroconductive copper powder filled PMMA composites

AB  - This article is concerned with synthesis and characterization of electroconductive composite materials prepared by hot molding of mixtures of PMMA and electrochemically deposited copper powder and investigation of the influence of particle morphology on conductivity and percolation threshold of obtained composites and thermal characteristics. Electrodeposited copper powder content was varied from 0.5-8.8 vol%. Analysis of the most significant properties of individual components and prepared composites AFM and TGA analysis. The significant increase of the electrical conductivity can be observed as the copper powder content reaches the percolation threshold at 2.98 vol%. In the investigated range of electrodeposited copper powder concentrations the increase of the electrical conductivity of composites is as much as sixteen orders of magnitude.

AB  - Electrolytic treatment of wastewater is a technique in which wastewater is treated by applying electric current through electrodes in the electrochemical reactor. This is actually a combination of many processes such as anodic oxidation, electro-coagulation and electro-flotation. The paper presents the influence of current density (5, 10, 20 mA/cm2) on the efficiency and reaction rate degradation of cyanide from cyanide wastewater in an electrochemical reactor with electrodes made of steel and stainless steel for 60 minutes of reaction time. AB  - Elektrolitički postupak obrade otpadnih voda je tehnika u kojoj otpadne vode tretiramo primjenom električne energije kroz elektrode u elektrohemijskom reaktoru. To je zapravo kombinacija mnogih procesa kao što su anodna oksidacija, elektro-koagulacija, i elektro-flotacija. U radu je prikazan uticaj gustine struje (5, 10, 20 mA/cm2) na efikasnost i brzinu reakcije uklanjanja cijanida iz cijanidnih otpadnih voda u elektrohemijskom reaktoru sa elektrodama od čelika i nerđajućeg čelika za 60 minuta reakcionog vremena. U radu je dokazan značajan uticaj gustine struje i porasta temperature u toku reakcije u reaktoru na brzinu i efikasnost uklanjanja cijanida.
