AB - Plocnik near Prokuplje is the location of the excavations of the interesting Neolithic settling having very developed pottery production for a period of about 800 years. Pottery artifacts are carrying information about the technological skills of Neolithic people and are giving the insight about their ability to control fire and firing process. This ability is performed in producing different color of their vessel and having bowls having very fine structure. In order to reconstruct the pottery production technique in the scope of the experimental archaeology two approaches were used. The classical geology approach was used to identify the origin of the clay used in the production. Petrography gives insight into the structural characteristics of the pottery. In order to reveal the technique of production of bowls and other utility pottery objects the multi slice scanner was used. The pottery has the density that is comparable to that one of the bones and the imaging techniques used for bone structure identification are used in this study.

AB - The exhibition Heritage Protection In Serbia – The Role Of The Central Institute For Conservation In Belgrade presents material related to the significant activities of the youngest institution for heritage protection in Serbia and the region of Southeast Europe and contextualizes the complex, diverse and multicultural heritage of Serbia within the fields of archaeology, ethnology and the history of art. This exhibition also reveals the efforts that this dynamic institution makes in the organisation of efficient and systematic valorisation and protection of Serbian cultural heritage and its inclusion into both an historical and contemporary European cultural context. The exhibition of posters is aimed at promoting a follow-up travelling exhibition of the actual objects, as well as CIK and its activities.

AB - This paper presents a brief overview of the basic principles of infrared thermography in most important areas of its application. Special attention is paid to the application of thermography in the construction, or areas of cultural heritage protection. Thermography as a contactless method of testing is used to detect moisture in walls and roofs, determining the correctness of thermal insulation, structural damage and so on. In explanation of possible applications of this technique in the field of cultural heritage are presented the results of research at the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade.

AB - Multidisciplinary research of traditional pottery production includes three primary areas: heritology, materials technology and experimental archeology, which are methodologically supported by geological and physical-chemical analysis, and methodological apparatus of anthropology and ethnology. Definition of intangible heritage in the field of traditional ceramics manufacturing, in accordance with the Convention on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO), refers to the identification, investigation and documentation of authentic production technology of ceramics, and revitalization of intangible cultural heritage through education and the transfer of traditional techniques. In this paper the planned research phases of the Neolithic pottery Vinča (B), Vinča-Tordos II, from the location near Prokuplje are presented. The main aim of this research is to protect the traditional production of pottery technology as an intangible cultural asset.

AB - The paper presents the results of moisture detection in the depot of Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade. The moisture and changeably temperature conditions are the main causes for corrosion in historical building and museum artifacts. The main purpose of tests was to determe the condition in depot , where the metal artifact are deponed, including the only surviving examples Fiat G50 Airplane. The advantages of the thermography in a rapid and accurate detection of moisture in the walls and floor of the museum depot are analyzed.
