abstract = "Due to global environmental policy goals to reduce marine and ocean pollutions, there is a global need to finding greener solutions for industrial chemicals design in line with principle of the green chemistry. Therefore, in this study, environmental hazard of the newly symmetrical bis(imino)pyridines (BIPs) was assessed by authors as corrosion inhibitors. Sixteen compounds, BIPs was tested by the electrochemical methods and three of them showed good inhibition efficiency. Also, authors applied Consensual QSAR model for estimation water solubility (25 oC) as physicochemical parameter and eco-toxicological properties at different trophic levels as well as the Nearest neighbour QSAR method for estimation of the bioaccumulation factor (BAF). Compound BIP-16 (N,N-bis(2-pyridyl) imino pyridine) has shown the least acute toxicity to aquatic organisms therefore can be recommended for eco-friendly industrial chemical as corrosive inhibitors paints and coatings of the river and sea vessels.",
