Numerical simulation of particulate matters and gasses pollution dispersion from steel plant in Smederevo

AB  - This paper presents the results obtained by numerical simulation, of air pollution dispersion from the stacks of steel plant in the direction of Smederevo fortress. Trajectories and concentrations of pollutants (particulate matters, CO and NO2) were determined by commercial software ANSYS FLUENT. The relief of the terrain was included in the geometry of the numerical domain  (11400x3600x100 m). An unstructured mesh composed of more than three million cells was generated. Southeast wind speed was 2.9 m/s blowing in the direction parallel to the longest side of the domain. Atmospheric conditions correspond to conversion, i.e. increase in temperature with height. The sources of pollution included in the simulation are central agglomeration stack, blast fumaces stack and central stack of steel-making. Obtained results represent the first step in a complex, multidisciplinary research of the industrial zones impact on cultural heritage objects.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati širenja štetnih materija u vazduhu, emitovanih iz dimnjaka Železare u pravcu Smederevske tvrđave, dobijeni numeričkom simulacijom. Putanje i koncentracija polutanata (čestica, CO i NO2) su simulirane komercijalnim softverskim paketom  ANSYS FLUENT. Reljef terena je uključen u geometriju numeričkog domena, čije su dimenzije 11400x3600x100 m. Generisana je nestruktuisana mreža sa više od tri miliona ćelija. Numerička simulacija je vršena za jugoistočni vetar  (paralelan dužoj stranici domena) brzine 2.9 m/s. Atmosferski uslovi odgovaraju  slučaju konverzije, temperatura raste  sa visinom. Izvori zagađenja su centralni dimnjak aglomeracije, dimnjak visoke peći i centralni dimnjak čeličane. Dobijeni rezultati su samo prvi korak  kompleksnog, multidisciplinarnog istraživanja uticaja industrijskih zona na objekte kulturne baštine.

AB  - Европска пракса у области заштите монументалних објеката културног наслеђа, у значајном обиму обухвата испитивање неповољних утицаја продуката Т/Е комплекса на стање материјала објеката културне баштине. Валоризација значајних параметара у истраживачком процесу разликује се у аспектима уважавања специфичности просторних односа и распореда објеката баштине у односу на Т/Е комплексе, као и констелације других производних објеката који у мањој или већој мери погоршавају укупну слику деловања аерозагађења на објекте културне баштине. У овом раду приказани су први резултати истраживања које се спроводи у Смедереву, за комплекс Смедеревске тврђаве и више значајних објеката културе у њеном непосредном окружењу.
AB  - This paper presents the first results of research carried out about Smederevo fortress (Serbia) and more important cultural objects in its environment. Valuation significant parameters in the research process is different in respect of specific aspects of spatial relationship and distribution of heritage buildings in relation to the T/ E complexes, and a constelation of other production facilities in overall picture of air pollution effects on cultural heritage objects.

AB  - Air pollution in recent times become important, so that the need for protection from air pollution, ensuring the quality of life in rural areas and industrial centers, and the preservation of the ecological potential of the natural environment, it becomes one of the imperatives of development. The major sources of atmospheric pollution are combustion of fossil fuels in industry and power generation, as well as in internal combustion engines. Scientific approach to solving this problem uses different experimental, theoretical and numerical methods. This paper presents the results of simulations of pollution emitted from the stack Kostolac B, CFD method above Viminacijum museums. This archaeological site was selected because of its excellence. Used the software package Fluent for flow simulation. Wind direction was chosen to wind rose, which was obtained from the Meteorological Department. Application of CFD numerical simulation method is intended to demonstrate the advantages of the method presented in solving the acute problems of environmental pollution in the fastest, most efficient and most economical way, whether pollution comes from point sources, diffuse and mobile sources.
AB  - Zagađenje vazduha u novije vreme poprima značajne razmere, tako da potreba zaštite vazduha od zagađenja, obezbeđenje kvaliteta života u naseljima i industrijskim centrima i očuvanje ekološkog potencijala prirodne sredine, postaje jedan od imperativa razvoja. Najveći izvori zagađenja atmosfere su sagorevanje fosilnih goriva u industriji i u proizvodnji električne energije, kao i u motorima sa unutrašnjim sagorevanjem. Naučni pristup rešavanja ovog problema koristi različite eksperimentalne, teoretske i numeričke metode. U ovom radu predstavljeni su rezultati simulacije širenja zagađenja emitovanih iz dimnjaka termoelektrane Kostolac B, CFD metodom, iznad muzeja Viminacijum. Ovo arheološko nalazište je izabrano zbog svoje izuzetnosti. Za simulaciju strujanja korišćen je softverski paket Fluent. Smer vetra je izabran prema ruži vetrova, koja je dobijena od meteorološke službe. Primena CFD metoda numeričke simulacije strujanja ima za cilj da demonstrira prednosti koje ove metode daju u rešavanju akutnih problema zagađenja životne sredine na najbrži, najefikasniji i najekonomičniji način, bilo da zagađenje potiče iz tačkastih, difuznih ili pokretnih izvora.
