AB  - Metals and metal oxides have subpar antibacterial activities compared to those of small-molecule antibiotics, yet there are hopes that with proper compositional and structural adjustments this gap might be bridged. In this study, titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles were mechanically activated and combined with particulate silver through simple reduction process elicited by UV irradiation and assisted with the ultrasound. The resulting powders in various combinations (Ag vs. no Ag, activated vs. non-activated) were characterized using a range of experimental techniques and assessed for their antibacterial activities. The preparation procedure presented in this work prevails over the disadvantages of many chemical routes, most critically by avoiding the use of toxic substances. The mechanical activation did not reduce the particle size or crystallinity of TiO2 nor did it consistently alter the bandgap, yet it enabled the doubling of the amount of silver incorporable into the material. Further, while both mechanical activation and the addition of silver in the amount not exceeding 0.5 wt% produced barely detectable structural changes in the material, they both augmented its antibacterial activity. The precursor TiO2 powder produced no inhibition zone against any of the four bacterial species tested, while the mechanical activation of TiO2 led to the formation of distinct inhibition zones against each of the four bacterial species tested. The addition of silver to activated TiO2 further widened the inhibition zones and it also imparted the antibacterial activity to non-activated TiO2. The boost in the antibacterial activity achieved by the short mechanical activation was of a similar magnitude as the boost obtained after the addition of silver. The antibacterial activity was not different for different species when no silver was added to the system. However, with the addition of silver, species selectivity was obtained, as the composites were more effective against the two Gram-negative species (Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae) than against the two Gram-positive ones (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis). The antibacterial activity increased with the addition of silver in the broth assay, but it was mediocre compared to that detected in the agar assay, attesting to the poor dispersability of the powders and their best performance when the bacterial cells migrate to the composite surface than vice versa. The findings of this study give hope that with appropriate microstructural or compositional alterations, the antibacterial activity of metal oxide powders and inorganic materials in general can be made comparable to that of small-molecule antibiotics.

The influence of strontium content and sintering temperature on monazite stability

AB  - This paper shows a simple way to synthesize a series of Ce1-xSrxPO4 ceramic materials using acetate solutions of Ce and Sr instead of nitrate which were used so far. For synthesis, the preparation method was used by simple mixing of acetate solutions of Ceand Sr(, with NaH2PO4 at room temperature, and the studied compositions were Ce1-xSrxPO4 (where x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5). The disintegration of Sr in monazite structures in different sintering temperature ranges from 600°C to 1000°C was investigated. The X-ray diffraction was used to track the evolution of the phase composition with thermal treatment. The morphology of sintered ceramics was obtained by scanning electron microscopy and vibrational bands of selected spectra were observed using the FT-IR method. Relative geometric density of selected samples was evaluated. The most favorable conditions for obtaining high-temperature Ce, Sr phosphate-based ceramic material are reported.
AB  - У овом раду је приказан једноставан начин да се синтетише серија Ce1-xSrxPO4 керамичких материјала коришћењем ацетатних раствора Ce и Sr уместо до сада коришћених нитрата. За синтезу је коришћен метод припреме једноставним мешањем раствора Ce(C2H3O2)3·xH2O), Sr(C2H3O2)2, и NaH2PO4 као прекурсора на собној температури, а испитивани састави су Ce1-xSrxPO4 (где је к = 0 , 0,1, 0,2, 0,3, 0,4, 0,5). Испитивана је дезинтеграција Sr у структурама моназита у различитим температурним распонима синтеровања од 600 °C до 1000 °C. Дифракција рендгенских зрака на праху (XRD) је коришћена за праћење еволуције фазног састава синтетисаних и синтерованих узорака. Морфологија синтероване керамике испитивана је скенирајућом електронском микроскопијом (СЕМ), а вибрациое траке одабраних спектра су испитане ФТИР методом. Згушњавање и еволуција микроструктуре су одређене коришћењем релативне геометријске густине одабраних узорака. Приказани су најповољнији услови за добијање високотемпературног керамичког материјала на бази Ce, Sr фосфата.

AB  - To investigate the influence of spinel structure and sintering temperature on the functional properties of BaTiO3/NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0, 0.5, 1), NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, and Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 were in situ prepared by thermal decomposition onto BaTiO3 surface from acetylacetonate precursors. As-prepared powders were additionally sintered at 1150 °C and 1300 °C. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were used for the detailed examination of phase composition and morphology. The magnetic, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties were investigated. The optimal phase composition in the BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 composite, sintered at 1150 °C, resulted in a wide frequency range stability. Additionally, particular phase composition indicates favorable properties such as low conductivity and ideal-like hysteresis loop behavior. The favorable properties of BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 make this particular composite an ideal material choice for further studies on applications of multi-ferroic devices.

AB  - In order to examine the influence of phase composition and sintering temperature on the functional properties of perovskite/spinel composites, BaTiO3/NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0, 0.5, 1), NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, and Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 were in situ prepared by thermal decomposition onto BaTiO3 surface. Acetylacetonate complexes were used as the precursors. The obtained powders were compressed to pellets and sintered at 1150 °C and 1300 °C. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were used for the comprehensive investigation of phase composition and morphology. The magnetic, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties were performed in detail. The optimal phase composition was found in the BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 composite sintered at 1150 °C, which resulted in a wide frequency range stability. Furthermore, particular phase composition led to suitable properties such as low conductivity and ideal-like hysteresis loop behavior [1]. These functional properties of BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 make this composite a “material of choice“ for further studies on applications of multiferroic devices.
AB  - U cilju ispitivanja uticaja faznog sastava i temperature sinterovanja na funkcionalna svojstva perovskit/spinel kompozita BaTiO3/NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0, 0,5, 1), NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, i Ni0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 pripremljeni su in situ metodom termalne dekompozicije. U sintezi su korišćeni acetilacetonatni kompleksi kao prekursori. Dobijeni prahovi su komprimovani u tablete i sinterovani na 1150 °C i 1300 °C. Za detaljno ispitivanje faznog sastava i morfologije sintetisanih kompozita korišćene su metode rendgenske difrakcije praha (XRPD) i skenirajuće elektronske mikroskopije (SEM) spregnute sa energetsko disperzivnom spektroskopijom (EDS). Ispitivana su i magnetna, dielektrična i feroelektrična svojstva sinterovanih kompozita. Ustanovljeno je da optimalni fazni sastav pronađen kod kompozita BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 sinterovanog na 1150 °C dovodi do stabilnosti u širokom opsegu frekvencija. Optimalni fazni sastav pomenutog kompozita povoljno je uticao na funkcionalna svojstva kao što su niska provodnost i feroelektrično ponašenje koje se ogleda u zadovoljavajućem izgledu histerezisa [1]. Ova svojstva nedvosmisleno ukazuju da je kompozit BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 odgovarajući izbor za dalja istraživanja posvećena primeni multiferoičnih materijala.

abstract = "In order to examine the influence of phase composition and sintering temperature on the functional properties of perovskite/spinel composites, BaTiO3/NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0, 0.5, 1), NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, and Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 were in situ prepared by thermal decomposition onto BaTiO3 surface. Acetylacetonate complexes were used as the precursors. The obtained powders were compressed to pellets and sintered at 1150 °C and 1300 °C. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were used for the comprehensive investigation of phase composition and morphology. The magnetic, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties were performed in detail. The optimal phase composition was found in the BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 composite sintered at 1150 °C, which resulted in a wide frequency range stability. Furthermore, particular phase composition led to suitable properties such as low conductivity and ideal-like hysteresis loop behavior [1]. These functional properties of BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 make this composite a “material of choice“ for further studies on applications of multiferroic devices., U cilju ispitivanja uticaja faznog sastava i temperature sinterovanja na funkcionalna svojstva perovskit/spinel kompozita BaTiO3/NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0, 0,5, 1), NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, i Ni0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 pripremljeni su in situ metodom termalne dekompozicije. U sintezi su korišćeni acetilacetonatni kompleksi kao prekursori. Dobijeni prahovi su komprimovani u tablete i sinterovani na 1150 °C i 1300 °C. Za detaljno ispitivanje faznog sastava i morfologije sintetisanih kompozita korišćene su metode rendgenske difrakcije praha (XRPD) i skenirajuće elektronske mikroskopije (SEM) spregnute sa energetsko disperzivnom spektroskopijom (EDS). Ispitivana su i magnetna, dielektrična i feroelektrična svojstva sinterovanih kompozita. Ustanovljeno je da optimalni fazni sastav pronađen kod kompozita BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 sinterovanog na 1150 °C dovodi do stabilnosti u širokom opsegu frekvencija. Optimalni fazni sastav pomenutog kompozita povoljno je uticao na funkcionalna svojstva kao što su niska provodnost i feroelektrično ponašenje koje se ogleda u zadovoljavajućem izgledu histerezisa [1]. Ova svojstva nedvosmisleno ukazuju da je kompozit BaTiO3/NiFe2O4 odgovarajući izbor za dalja istraživanja posvećena primeni multiferoičnih materijala.",

AB  - To investigate the effect of synthesis procedure and sintering temperature on the functional properties of perovskite/spinel ceramics, BaTiO3/CoFe2O4 composites were prepared by thermal decomposition, coprecipitation, and microemulsion method, and sintered at 1150°C and 1300°C. The phase composition and morphology of as-prepared powders as well as sintered ceramics were thoroughly examined by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The dielectric and ferroelectric measurements were performed in detail. Generally, the samples sintered at 1300°C had better performances than those sintered at 1150°C. The composite synthesized by thermal decomposition and sintered at 1300 °C stands out among other prepared BaTiO3/CoFe2O4 ceramics, owing to high stability in the wide frequency range and low leakage currents. The obtained results indicate that such composite might be successfully applied as a functional multiferroic.
AB  - У циљу испитивања утицаја методе синтезе као и температуре синтеровања на функционална својства керамике перовскитно/спинелне структуре, синтетисани су BaTiO3/CoFe2O4 композити методама термалне декомпозиције, копреципитације и микроемулзије, а затим синтеровани на 1150 °C и 1300 °C. Фазни састав и морфологија синтетисаних узорака детаљно су испитани пре и после синтеровања помоћу рендгенске дифракције на праху (XRPD) и скенирајуће електронске микроскпије (SEM) спрегнуте са елекрон дисперзивном спектроскопијом (EDS). Изведена су опсежна испитивања како диелектричних, тако и фероелектричних својстава датих композита. У већини случајева узорци синтеровани на 1300 °C показали су боља својства од узорака синтерованих на 1150 °C. Композит синтетисан методом термалне декомпозиције и синтерован на 1300 °C издваја се од осталих синтетисаних BaTiO3/CoFe2O4 узорака захваљујући великој стабилносту у широком фреквентном опсегу и малим струјама цурења. Добијени резултати недвосмислено указују да истакнути композит може бити успешно примењен као функционални мултифероик.

AB  - Hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 - HAp presents natural construction material for bones and teeth and therefore is considered biocompatible, and has various applications in fields such as biomedicine, drug delivery, and as a biomarker. Considering nanoceramics' high specific surface area and antimicrobial activity, they can be used as potential antimicrobial materials. Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a biopolymer that stands out in its biodegradability, biocompatibility, and high water retention capacity, but also lacks functional properties. The main goal of this study is to create a newly designed composite material with the functionalization of cellulose by hydroxyapatite with antimicrobial properties. Hydroxyapatite material was incorporated in wet cellulose during the precipitation synthesis reaction. Obtained BC-HAp material was structurally and phase investigated by the XRD method. The morphology of obtained material was done by SEM, and appropriate functional groups were determined by the FTIR method. According to antimicrobial results investigated composite is shown proper antimicrobial activity.

AB  - Radiation shielding is a crucial precautionary measure in decreasing the dose of exposure medical personnel experience. The physical dimensions of these shields, specifically thickness and shape, are dependent on the type of radiation, energy and specific radioactivity. Currently, the most common radiation shielding equipment is made of lead, tungsten or uranium. Although these heavy metals have favorable shielding properties against ionizing radiation, protective garments such as lead aprons are heavy to wear and can pose significant health risks. Taking this into account, the primary goal of this study is to understand the radiation shielding properties of lead-free polymer geopolymer-polyurethane based composites. The geopolymer was synthesized using an 80%-20% mixture of fly ash and a bio-polyol substrate which was subsequently homogenized using MDI44. As a result, 6 samples of the geopolymer-polyurethane based composites were fabricated of which 5 were 90%-10% compositions between the mixture and varying concentrations of BaSO4 and Bi2O3 respectively. The last sample consisted of the pure fly ash/bio-polyol mixture. XRF and ICP analysis was used to chemically characterize the fly ash. The composite structures were analyzed using XRD, while the microstructural morphology was investigated using SEM techniques. Utilizing an energy-dispersive x-ray spectrometer (EDS), elemental abundance and agglomerating behavior was analyzed for each composite variant. The X-ray attenuation measurements pointed out that the obtained composites have the potential for a design of lead-free protective clothing against X-ray shielding in medical applications.

AB  - The combination of an intense absorption of visible light and p-type semiconducting nature makes spinel cobalt oxide (Co3O4) a very attractive material for various optoelectronic applications. However, the traditional methods for its synthesis have been either time- and energy-consuming or relying on toxic chemicals. To solve this issue, a simple, facile, and eco-friendly method of synthesis was successfully developed to obtain spinel Co3O4 nanoparticles. The novel method for obtaining pure and monophasic Co3O4 reported here is based on the thermal decomposition of hexaaquacobalt(II) D-camphor10-sulfonate at 900 °C. This fast solid-state synthesis route overcomes the disadvantages of many combustion methods, most critically by avoiding the use of toxic organic solvents. The synthesized material was subjected to a detailed characterization to assess its potential for use as a nanocatalyst. The band gap measurements indicated the presence of two band gaps, one at 2.10 eV and another at 1.22 eV, confirming the purity and semiconducting properties of the sample. The electrochemical studies demonstrated a significant enhancement in the electron transfer kinetics with the addition of the synthesized Co3O4 to the carbon-paste electrode, leading to an enhanced electrocatalytic performance. These prominent functional properties, suitable for a wide range of technological applications, pave way for the implementation of the reported method for the synthesis of Co3O4 on a larger industrial scale.

For synthesis, the preparation method was used by simple mixing of acetate solutions of Ceand Sr(, with NaH2PO4 at room temperature, and the studied compositions were Ce1-xSrxPO4 (where x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5). The disintegration of Sr in monazite structures in different sintering temperature ranges from 600°C to 1000°C was investigated. The X-ray diffraction was used to track the evolution of the phase composition with thermal treatment. The morphology of sintered ceramics was obtained by scanning electron microscopy and vibrational bands of selected spectra were observed using the FT-IR method. Relative geometric density of selected samples was evaluated. The most favorable conditions for obtaining high-temperature Ce, Sr phosphate-based ceramic material are reported.
AB  - У овом раду је приказан једноставан начин да се синтетише серија Ce1-xSrxPO4 керамичких материјала коришћењем ацетатних раствора Ce и Sr уместо до сада  коришћених нитрата. За синтезу је коришћен метод припреме једноставним мешањем  раствора Ce(C2H3O2)3·xH2O), Sr(C2H3O2)2, и NaH2PO4 као прекурсора на собној  температури, а испитивани састави су Ce1-xSrxPO4 (где је к = 0 , 0,1, 0,2, 0,3, 0,4, 0,5).  Испитивана је дезинтеграција Sr у структурама моназита у различитим  температурним распонима синтеровања од 600 °C до 1000 °C. Дифракција рендгенских  зрака на праху (XRD) је коришћена за праћење еволуције фазног састава синтетисаних и  синтерованих узорака. Морфологија синтероване керамике испитивана је скенирајућом  електронском микроскопијом (СЕМ), а вибрациое траке одабраних спектра су испитане  ФТИР методом. Згушњавање и еволуција микроструктуре су одређене коришћењем  релативне геометријске густине одабраних узорака. Приказани су најповољнији услови за  добијање високотемпературног керамичког материјала на бази Ce, Sr фосфата.

AB  - Newly designed mesoporous brushite-metakaolin-based geopolymer materials were examined with an idea for using this material as a potential adsorbent for Pb(II) removal from aqueous solutions. As a starting component for geopolymer synthesis, a natural raw kaolinite clay with the
addition of 2 wt.%, 4 wt.%, 6 wt.%, 8 wt.%, and 10 wt.% of pure brushite was used. Phase, structural,morphological, and adsorption properties of newly synthesized mesoporous brushite-metakaolin geopolymer materials were examined in detail by the means of XRPD, FTIR, SEM-EDS, BET/BJH, and ICP-OES methods. The ICP-OES results showed that the synthesized material samples with 2 wt.%, 4 wt.%, and 6 wt.% of brushite possess significant adsorption properties and the mechanisms of the adsorption process can be attributed to chemisorption. The most notable result is that brushite-metakaolin-geopolymer with 2 wt.% of brushite have the best efficiency removal, more than 85% of Pb(II).

Silver distribution and binding mode as key determinants of the antimicrobial performance of iron oxide/silver nanocomposites

AB  - The emerging threat of bacterial resistance to antibiotics prompts the urgent search for biomaterials for the treatment of infectious disease. Here we report on the synthesis and characterization of a multiphasic nanocomposite comprising magnetic iron oxide and silver nanoparticles. The method of synthesis involved the combustion of a metalorganic complex and reduction of the silver ions that were exchanged and/or adsorbed on the surface of iron oxide. Different physical and chemical treatments coupled to the reduction process, including ultrasound and Lugol's iodine solution, respectively, homogenized the distribution of the silver nanoparticles on the iron oxide phase. Remarkably, using ascorbic acid as a reductant enhanced the magnetic properties of the material as a result of the reduction of the magnetic matrix alongside the silver cations. The treatment with ultrasound detached large amounts of silver from the iron oxide phase and resulted in the lowest amount of silver incorporated in the nanocomposite. Despite that, this treatment led to the highest antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains, indicating that the homogeneity of the distribution of silver on the iron oxide matrix is a more important determinant of the antibacterial performance than the amount of silver incorporated in the material. At the same time, the treatment with Lugol's iodine equally increased the distribution homogeneity, but induced excessive ion exchange and crystal lattice substitutions, thereby adversely affecting the antibacterial performance. This has indicated that the mode of binding silver to iron oxide can compensate for the positive effects of homogeneous distribution with respect to the antibacterial performance.

Brushite and raw abandoned kaolinite clay thermally transformed into metakaolin were used for GPB synthesis. The complete phase and structural analyses were performed by X-ray powder diffraction, and Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The pore-filling effect as a consequence of Ca2+ ions incorporation into the hybrid geopolymer networks improved the compressive strength. On the other hand, the chosen biscuit sintering at 800 and 900oC caused the phase transformation of brushite into calcium pyrophosphate, which negatively affected the compressive strength of such materials. The obtained results indicate that the usage of relatively high sintering temperatures is not always the necessary step for producing geopolymer-based types of cement with prominent mechanical properties.
AB  - U ovom radu ispitivan je uticaj količine dodatog brušita i temperature sinterovanja na mehanička svojstva geopolimer-brušit veziva. Kao
polazni materijali za sintezu korišćeni su kaolinitska glina i sintetisani brušit. Kompletna fazna i strukturna analiza izvršena je difrakcijom
rendgenskih zraka na prahu i infracrvenom spektroskopijom sa Furijeovom transformacijom. Efekat dodatka brušita u geopolimernu matricu poboljšao je pritisnu čvrstoću, dok je biskvitno pečenje izazvalo faznu transformaciju brušita u kalcijum pirofosfat što je negativno uticalo na pritisnu čvrstoću takvih materijala. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju da korišćenje relativno visokih temperatura sinterovanja nije uvek neophodan korak za proizvodnju cementa na bazi geopolimera sa istaknutim mehaničkim svojstvima.

polazni materijali za sintezu korišćeni su kaolinitska glina i sintetisani brušit. Kompletna fazna i strukturna analiza izvršena je difrakcijom
rendgenskih zraka na prahu i infracrvenom spektroskopijom sa Furijeovom transformacijom. Efekat dodatka brušita u geopolimernu matricu poboljšao je pritisnu čvrstoću, dok je biskvitno pečenje izazvalo faznu transformaciju brušita u kalcijum pirofosfat što je negativno uticalo na pritisnu čvrstoću takvih materijala. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju da korišćenje relativno visokih temperatura sinterovanja nije uvek neophodan korak za proizvodnju cementa na bazi geopolimera sa istaknutim mehaničkim svojstvima.",

AB  - Solid-state reaction between BaTiO3 and Fe2O3 was used to produce a multiferroic heterostructure composite. Commercial BaTiO3 and Fe(NO3)3•9H2O were suspended in ethanol for 30 minutes in an ultrasound bath. The prepared mixture was thermally processed at 300 oC for 6 h. Sintering at 1300 oC for 1 h resulted in a mixture of different phases, BaTiO3, BaFe12O19 and Ba12Ti28Fe15O84, which were confirmed by x-ray powder diffraction. A dense microstructure with a small volume fraction of closed porosity was indicated by the scanning electron microscopy, while a homogeneous distribution of Fe ions over BaTiO3 phase was visible from energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping. Doping of BaTiO3 with Fe2O3 resulted in formation of magnetic hexaferrite phases, as confirmed by dielectric measurements that showed a broadened maximum of the permittivity measured as a function of temperature.

The influence of the addition of brushite on the mechanical properties of geopolymer binder

AB  - The growing need to protect the environment and reuse abandoned raw materials is increasingly used in the construction industry to make  in addition to cementitious materials and geopolymer materials. Geopolymers are alkali-activated materials, in which the starting material is mainly some residual material such as: clay, fly ash, slag or red sludge [1,2]. There is growing need to create new binders which can replace portland cement and geopolymer materials are increasingly being used for this purpose. For geopolymerization reaction process high concentration basic solution with alkaline activators are adding and the process itself leads to modifications of the structures of the starting raw materials [1]. Due to growing needs to improve mechanical properties of geopolymer binders, different calcium sources can be added and one of them is brushite-dicalcium 
phosphate dihydrate [3]. The aim of this paper is synthesis and characterization of Brushite-metakaolin-based geopolymer material samples, with different percentages of pure Brushite material added. Brushite, was obtained by solution precipitation reaction from appropriate acetate salts solution, by green chemistry process. Raw kaolinite clay from the Rudovci deposit (Serbia) was used as Al and Si source for geopolymer binder production. Kaolinite was thermally treated at 750°C for three hours, to produce metakaolin and remove residual organic matter. In order to investigate the influence of calcium phosphate compound on mechanical and microstructural 
properties geopolymer material samples were synthesized using metakaolin mixed with activator solution prepared from sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide (6M) in relation 1,6 with addition of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, of pure brushite. Phase, structural, and microstructural characterisation were preformed in a mening of XRPD and SEM analysis. Difference between diffractograms of starting materials and Brushite-metakolin analogues indicates that geopolymerization process was successful in all samples. DRIFT technique was used to obtain characteristic vibrations of functional groups in obtained materials. The compressive strenghts of geopolymer binders containing brushite were in a range of 15-55 Mpa. The the highest hardness was achieved by a geopolymer with 10% of brushite.
