This paper examines the visuality from the aspect of semantic differences based on reflections of geometric similarities of two sculptural works: Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975) and Olga Jancic. Taking into consideration the case study of several works by these artists, the comparative analysis explores the issues of the following relationships of sculpture parameters in space: concave - convex, mass - volume, interior - exterior, openness - closedness. Starting from the influence by Henry Moore to the two artists, a multidisciplinary historical - artistic - biographical analysis is carried out in order to investigate the influence of the historical context for the creation of the sculptural opus Barbara Hepworth and Olga Jančić. The aim is to understand the semantic differences that arise on geometric similarities, as ideas of theses and antithesis that precede the realization of form.
