Visuality, method, and Laban’s ortography: one parallel

Abstract

Sources of inspiration for the formation of authentic orthographic and methodological systems are a challenge for researching the emergence and logic of constituting visual opinion. In this paper, one of the possible formative influences on the work of Rudolf von Laban, the most famous movement theorists in the 20th century, which is also the author of an authentic orthographic system, is being investigated. A research on the work of this artist was conducted on the basis of electronically available documentation from several European collections. One possible parallel was presented, which is based on thesis about processes of subtraction from the archetypal content of visual impressions.
