Methanol electrooxidation on supported Pt and Pt/Ru catalysts in alkaline solution
Oksidacija metanola na Pt i Pt/Ru nanokatalizatorima u alkalnoj sredini

The kinetic of methanol oxidation on 47.5 wt% Pt and 54 wt% Pt/Ru catalysts supported on high surface area carbon are measured in 0.1 M NaOH at 295 K and 333 K. The catalysts used were characterized by using TEM and XRD techniques. Only negligible differences in the kinetic are observed between Pt and Pt/Ru catalysts on both temperatures. The activities of catalysts studied are determined by their ability to adsorb OH anions.
Kinetika oksidacije metanola na nanokatalizatorima dobijenim nanošenjem Pt (47,5 mas%) i Pt/Ru (54 mas% legure) na nosač od staklastog ugljenika je ispitivana u 0,1 M NaOH na 295 K i 333 K. Elektrode su okarakterisane TEM i XRD tehnikama. Oba katalizatora pokazuju slične aktivnosti pod navedenim eksperimentalnim uslovima. Aktivnost katalizatora je određena njihovom sposobnošću da apsorbuju OH anjone.
