Tests were performed on aircraft power component chambers made of the AlMgZn alloy. The chambers contained cracks or did not contain any cracks. The contemporary optical technique was applied in order to determine the stress distribution at a given pressure of 10 bar inside the chamber with or without a crack. In addition to the experimental research, changes in the material were also evaluated by numerical methods.sr
